There’s a difference between knowing someone and knowing about someone. Confidence grows in the person and trust grows in what they say. Paul in his letter to the Corinthians told his readers to “behold” Jesus. He understood that something transformative happens as you get to know someone. By beholding Jesus, seeing Who Jesus really is, not just what He has done for us, we are transformed into His image. The Gospel of John paints a profound picture
of Jesus Christ, His character, His motives, and His interactions as He echoes the Old Testament declaration of God through His seven “I Am” claims.
