The Great Commission was one of the most important commands given to Christians by Jesus. Most Christians can quote this famous phrase, but find it difficult to follow its directions. Jesus said, “Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature...” (Mark 16:15).
It appears today that many in the Church are confused as to whom “Ye” is. Lay people assume it is the responsibility of the pastors to preach the gospel. The pastors pass the assignment over to the evangelists, and the evangelists try to motivate the lay persons to serve in this area. This has created a vicious cycle which limits the church’s ability to be effective in evangelism. The truth of the matter is that “Ye” means you! Christ has called each Christian to be a witness. This does not mean every person has the gift of evangelism, but it does mean every Christian should be actively sharing their faith with others.
“Irresistible Christianity” seeks to equip and empower every Believer with the tools and heart to reach the lost.
